As Much Harm Is Done To The Enemy Or To The Enemy By Enemy, The Mind That Has Gone On The Wrong Path Does More Harm To A Man Than That.
Friend is the one who is helpful in our Bad times. Be an ally in Welfare. Be a partner in Goodness. Whoever such a person is, is our Well-Wisher. It is beneficial to oneself to have the harmony of a Grateful Good Friendship towards him.
For any reason, when we feel ill-will towards such a friend, it is because of our corrupted mind. A mind full of ill-will towards a friend may or may not harm that friend, but it definitely harms us. Generally our corrupt mind makes us disturbed. But the tainted mind generated towards one of his benevolent friends makes him very disturbed. It is an realised truth, an experiential truth.
When harmony arises in our mind towards such a friend, it is because of our clean, simple mind. A happy mind full of goodwill does our own good more than it does good to that friend. Normally, our harmonious mind makes us ecstatic, but the harmony mind generated for a benevolent friend of ours makes us very happy. This is an empirical truth.
May be, someone who has once been our best friend, has been a great benefactor, if due to some reason, delusions, selfishness or due to some mistake of our own, if today has become our ultimate enemy, then to stop him from doing wrong. In spite of behaving harshly, one should keep his inner self filled with infinite goodwill towards him. That is appropriate.
Without giving importance to the present behavior of that person, whenever he has done us any favor in the past, he should be remembered. Remember his love and affection, affection and gentleness and on the basis of those memories, keep the softness of your mind, maintain goodwill. From above, hard rocky stones may be seen from above, but from within, they become pure waterless by deceiving.
